Spaceship
Aircraft, engine and 2 power converters.
1) Configuration of aircraft: short, wide body tapered to points ar either end. wings, a tail assembly, elevator and rudder. 100,000 tons.
2) A nuclear engine. It generates power by steam expansion.
3) The power converter is a large fluid filled disc with baffles and a propeller inside. There're 2 of them. One is mounted vertically, the other horizontally The propeller in the vertical disc propels the aircraft forward and in the other up.
Runway to orbit.
It takes off from a runway and climbs to six miles. The horizontal propeller is engaged and it continues to climb. It climbs to fifty miles, levels off, speeds up and orbits.
Space travel
The engine runs at full speed throughout. The aircraft flies to the halfway point and brakes the rest of the way.. It can reach any planet, in our solar system, in a few days.
The power converter is my own invention. I don't have enough money to patent it. I'm date stamping this text. Richard Kenny
